Volunteer firefighters in Rockland County have a new training center at their disposal to sharpen their skills.
News 12 got a look at the newly completed fire operations building in Pomona on Friday.
The $3 million project took about two years to complete.
The multipurpose facility gives firefighters the ability to practice different scenarios and situations .
It features burn rooms dedicated to live fire training, an elevator shaft for rescues and more to ensure first responders practice safely.
Officials told News 12 they plan for training to begin later this summer.
