A Rockland County attorney is attempting to wage a write-in campaign for district attorney - with less than a month until Election Day.
District Attorney Thomas Walsh is running unopposed for a second term, but a plea deal in the Spring Valley fire that killed a volunteer firefighter and a nursing home resident angered many of his constituents.
News 12's Tara Rosenblum has learned New City attorney Theresa DiFalco will take Walsh on as a write in. DiFalco worked in the DA's office from 2002 to 2007.
DiFalco helped start the first domestic violence court in the county and the Child Advocacy Center at Good Samaritan hospital for abuse victims.
