Some neighbors in Nanuet are questioning construction work going on behind their homes.

A massive hole is now being filled off of Spring Brook Road. Neighbors say crews have been digging since July.

The town of Ramapo says the property owner was testing the absorbance of the soil for a nearby housing complex.

Many nearby are questioning why a hole that large is needed and why the test would take months.
