An adjoining building deemed unsafe in Yonkers was demolished Monday weeks after the partial collapse of 9 North Broadway.
Crews on scene said 5-7 North Broadway were home to a jewelry store and a fish market.
Yonkers city officials told News 12 that the sidewalk will open upon completion of the operation and one lane of traffic would open on Tuesday.
News 12 reported on June 21 that the four-story building at 9 North Broadway experienced a partial collapse of the first floor and a wall into the basement. Two people were injured.
The fire commissioner said the property is well over 100 years old.
