A second day camp was vandalized in Rockland County just days after vandalism happened at a nearby camp.
Police say three teepees used for group activities at the Nature Place Day Camp in Chestnut Ridge were vandalized over the weekend. Posters inside the teepees were ripped and police say at least one was lit on fire.
Down the road at Camp Shalom, an inflatable pool was slashed a few days ago, causing an estimated $15,000 in damage.
Both incidents are under investigation. It is still unknown if the crimes are connected, but police do not believe the vandalism was a hate crime.
