The Greenburgh Nature Center marked its 40th anniversary with a gala at the Scarsdale Golf Club last night.
The nature center is a 33-acre preserve which has served as a refuge for animals and migratory birds since 1975.
The center's executive director says the event is important for the community. "It's allowing people to understand, in a very gentle way, an introduction to our nature environment and aspects of nature education...getting them to understand and be able to interpret what they see and how they feel," says Margaret Goldberg.
News 12's Lisa Salvadorini was the emcee for the gala.
