A nasty batch of weather was being blamed for hundreds of car crashes and at least four deaths in the northeast.
Heavy rain and icy roads wreaked havoc in the Hudson Valley on Sunday, effectively shutting down the Saw Mill River and Bronx River parkways in White Plains.
Over a dozen cars were also involved in a major pileup just north of New Rochelle, which sent four people to the hospital with minor injuries.
Drivers were forced to endure detours in addition to ice, slush and puddles.
Drivers were urged to take it slow while out on the roads.
