New Rochelle police are investigating after a 19-year-old Iona College student was found dead in his dorm room Wednesday.
Police responded to a call at the college around 9:40 a.m. and found 19-year-old Adam Lynch, of Long Island, unconscious. Attempts to revive the freshman were unsuccessful. The student had just returned from spring break.
New Rochelle Police Captain Joseph Schaller says there was no indication of foul play. Police are awaiting results from tests being conducted by the Westchester County Medical Examiner?s office to determine the exact cause of Lynch?s death.
The college is providing grief counselors for any student or faculty member in need.
