Multiple crews responded to a brush fire that erupted Wednesday afternoon at West Hills County Park in Melville.
Officials say the call came in after 5 p.m.
Seven other agencies assisted the Melville Fire Department in putting out the blaze, which was brought under control by 8:30 p.m.
The fire department say there were no bystanders because of where the fire occurred.
It was not immediately clear what caused the fire but the arson unit is investigating the incident.
