MTA: Car stuck on tracks responsible for train collision in White Plains

A car stuck on the tracks caused a collision with a Metro-North train in North White Plains on Wednesday.
The MTA says the car was apparently crossing the Virginia Road crossing when the gates came down.
It was then clipped by the train around 7:30 p.m.
No one was injured, but service was suspended for nearly two hours between North White Plains and Southeast during the investigation.
The driver was issued a summons for not stopping at a railroad crossing.
