A Mount Vernon teacher is suing the district claiming discrimination for his health and age.

The teacher, 61-year-old Hilary Bailey, filed the lawsuit in December.

It alleges the Benjamin Turner Middle School math teacher has had ongoing issues with the principal.

The complaint says Bailey accused the principal of identity theft, child abuse and changing students’ state exam answers.

The district denies the claims, adding Bailey is the subject of an ongoing disciplinary proceeding.
