Organizers of a vigil in Mount Vernon for the Pittsburgh shooting victims say they hope to spread the message of love throughout the city.
Rabbi Morris Barzilai says the mass shooting that killed 11 at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh over the weekend has had a profound effect on him and his congregation at the Sinai Free Synagogue in Mount Vernon.
“This was the most violent event in American Jewish history, it shook us to our core,” he says. “We need to stand as a community, any house of worship."
