STORM WATCH: Batches of rain and breezy winds are on the way

Expect about 1-2 inches of rain to come down, with isolated pockets of 3 inches possible during that time frame. There will also be breezy winds as well, which could blow shower activity around, reducing visibility and overall making it rather unenjoyable to be outside without the proper gear. This much needed rain will help to put a dent in the drought picture across the region. In which case, there has been some improvement in that department, but not enough rain has fallen to remove us from the drought completely. But every bit helps.

Be on the lookout for moderate rainfall to come down, on and off, throughout the entire day on Friday. Along the way, breezy winds of 10-20 mph will keep the temperatures feeling cooler than average. Friday will struggle to have daytime highs get out of the 50s. The average high is 67 for this time of the year.
The rain will linger into Saturday morning, but will be wrapping up though, as the storm system pulls away. There will be breezy, northwest winds Saturday midday to afternoon hours. But the drier air flow will help to clear up the skies and dry up the soggy grounds.
