The Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center received a new name on Wednesday.
The facility will now be known as the Westchester Community Health Center.
"Last year we served I believe about 80-thousand people, which is significant for the community and provide primary care, specialty care that you usually don't get at other places, so its definitely a plus for the community," said Westchester Community Health Center Dr. Marcus Asamenew.
The center has been serving residents of lower Westchester and the Bronx since 1973.
