Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard says the investigation is in its early stages, but says the case involves a man who is believed to have killed his wife and daughter, then himself.

In a tweet Sunday, she called it a "heartbreaking tragedy."

There was a steady stream of police going into the multifamily house where they lived on 4th Street. 

News 12 spoke with Michel Sylvain who says he is the brother of the man who allegedly took his own life after killing his wife and 12-year-old daughter.

"I don't know what's going on. I really can't say anything other then I'm going crazy over that. I can't even go in the house to check what's going on. If I could go inside, I could probably see what's up, but I can't go inside," he said.
