A Mount Vernon man has been indicted in last month's fatal shooting of an 18-year-old.
Tamani Turner was shot while standing on the passenger side of a parked car on Garden Avenue.
He died at a hospital in the Bronx.
The Westchester District Attorney's Office now says 33-year-old Akeem Grant has been indicted on charges, including second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon and arson.
Authorities say Grant set fire to his car in the Bronx after the shooting in order to destroy evidence.
He was arrested the next day at the Philadelphia International Airport as he attempted to board a plane to Jamaica.
Grant also has a pending animal abuse case in Mount Vernon City Court.
