Mother’s Day spending to reach record levels
People are expected to spend a record amount on gifts for Mother's Day this year.
A survey by the National Retail Federation says shoppers are expected to shell out an average of $186, which is about $14 more than last year.
Total spending is expected to reach $23.6 billion – the highest in the survey's 14-year history.
The most money will be spent on greeting cards and flowers.
