More than two dozen men and women on Friday became the newest members of the Westchester County Police Department.
The academy graduates walked across the stage at the SUNY Purchase Performing Arts Center to accept their certificates.
They made it through a grueling 20 weeks of training at the Westchester County Police Academy that included exercise, arrest procedures and even being shot with a stun gun.
Many of the new officers were joined by their proud loved ones during the ceremony.
