Summer heat and hazy skies Wednesday in The Bronx

Canadian wildfire smoke has entered our skies as the warmth continues the next few days.

Skies will remain clear overnight with seasonal temperatures. Wednesday, we will still deal with some haze in the skies, but temperatures will heat up even more toward the mid-80s by the afternoon. Due to elevated ozone levels, air quality will be a concern for sensitive groups. Otherwise, sunshine and warm weather throughout the day. Thursday will get even hotter. Temperatures will rise near 90 degrees. Some haze remains in the skies with humidity levels rising during the day. There may be a brief scattered shower in the afternoon, but we will remain dry until late Friday evening, and Saturday.
OVERNIGHT: Mostly clear, pleasant. Lows in the low 60s.
WEDNESDAY: Sunny, very warm, some haze in the skies. Highs in the mid-80s. Lows in the upper 60s. Air quality alert is in effect from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.
THURSDAY: Sunny, hot, humid, and some haze with a slight chance of rain showers in the evening, otherwise dry and hot. Highs near 90 degrees. Lows near 70 degrees.
FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy, very warm, humid, rain developing late in the evening. Highs in the mid-80s. Lows in the upper 60s.
