A Rockland County woman is being called New York City's worst landlord.
According to Public Advocate Letitia James, Robin Shimoff, of Monsey, has 660 open violations against the building she owns at 940 Grand Concourse in the Bronx.
Tenants in the building complain of collapsing ceilings, rodents, toxic lead paint and water leaks. They say Shimoff is an absentee landlord who they've had to take to court to force repairs.
Shimoff, on the other hand, lives in a $1.2 million dollar brick house with seven bedrooms, an underground pool and a multicar garage. News 12 knocked on her door but no one answered.
Shimoff owns 13 city properties and has had more than 3,300 violations against her, and as of last weekend, 2,500 of those violations are still open.
She has not commented publicly on the reports.
