The mother of a 3-year-old boy found dead in his Bronx home is blaming the city's child services for his death.

The medical examiner ruled the death of Poseidon Quinones a homicide. The boy died from trauma to his torso while he was in the custody of his paternal grandmother.

Poseidon's mother, Ashley Ramirez, says she begged child services to not place her son in his grandmother's custody. Ramirez says she fired her previous lawyer for not believing her concerns about his grandmother.

Police say Quinones and his sister were removed from the custody of their biological parents because of a history with child services.
