A new sensory room will call a Bronx school home, thanks to Major League Baseball and the New York Yankees.
The 2024 World Series Legacy Project will bring in a new sensory room for students, but it's not the first time it has collaborated. Earlier this year, it helped redesign a sensory room at the stadium, which made its debut during ALDS Game 1.
"Allowing these kids, you know, continue to develop their skills using different tools. I think is what it's all about," said former NY Yankee Dellin Betances.
"People like look down on autism. They see it as like a drawback. How people are not are not going to do much. What's best is having autism. So I'm here to spread the message that everybody can do certain things," said student Valentina Lucre.
