The allegations allege misconduct by an animal control officer.
Allegations of misconduct have been made against an animal control officer at the Yonkers Animal Shelter.
The 11,000-square-foot facility is located at the bottom of Ridge Hill in Yonkers.
It was built in 2013 and emphasizes animal welfare, cleanliness and adoption.
The facility includes indoor and outdoor kennels, modern medical facilities and more.
Shelter officials declined to comment, but did allow News 12 on the premises to film the area where their cats are kept.
A city spokesperson says the SPCA conducted a full review of the shelter and found no issues.
They added that the city remains fully committed to the health and well-being of shelter animals and that any inappropriate conduct will be addressed.
The spokesperson said that allegations against an animal control officer are being actively investigated.
