A school bus carrying the Minisink girls’ volleyball team was involved in a fiery collision on I-84 Tuesday night.

District officials say none of the students or the driver were hurt and that parents were immediately notified.

The students were headed home from a game against Our Lady of Lourdes in Poughkeepsie when district officials say the bus was rear-ended while traveling westbound in the Town of Wallkill.

Viewer video given to News 12 shows the bus in flames on the highway while firefighters and emergency officials were on scene.

State police say the bus was rear-ended by a 2021 Hyundai Elantra and that both drivers and all of the bus occupants are okay. The incident remains under investigation.
