A special tribute was held in Ardsley on Thursday in honor of residents who served in the U.S. Military.
Fifty-nine tribute banners were handed off to village officials during a ceremony at Louis Pascone Memorial Park.
The banners will eventually be mounted on poles lining Ashford Avenue and will be on display throughout November as part of Veterans Day
observances.
"It’s so nice to see so many of these people out today and we just have that kind of spirit in Ardsley. It's sensational," said veteran Lt. Milton Mitler.
Ardsley's 59 banners represent one of the largest participations in the region and the only such program in the Rivertowns.
