Milford police hold Safety Fest at Walnut Beach
The Milford Police Department held a 'Safety Fest' at Walnut Beach Wednesday that gave the community the chance to donate school supplies to children ahead of the start of the school year.

The event included a bicycle rodeo. Officers performed safety checks on children's bikes and helmets. They also helped parents properly install car seats.

Kids toured the inside of police vehicles and K9 Zar was on hand to greet families.
'Coffee with a Cop' took place at the Cappugino's food truck.
The event also included a 'stuff-the-cruiser' drive. Families donated school supplies to benefit the Milford Department of Children & Families.
Food was also collected for the area's purple pantry boxes.
