Three things to know:
Today was about a 3 out of 10 on the weather scale as we dealt with dreary and damp conditions. The good side is that the above-average temperatures helped melt some more of the snow. Patchy fog lingers into tonight, but should clear up by sunrise.
We are tracking a series of systems heading toward the Hudson Valley. Confidence is high for Friday’s storm, which will bring mixed showers throughout the day.
A second system arrives Sunday into Monday, though its likelihood of impact has recently decreased. Nevertheless, it is worth monitoring for anyone returning from vacation this weekend, as Sunday travel could still be affected.
While daytime highs will trend at or above the freezing mark (32 degrees) for the next 10 days, overnight lows will consistently dip below freezing. This daily "freeze-thaw" cycle means any melting snow or lingering moisture will refreeze each night, creating a recurring risk for slick and icy spots during the morning commute.
