An auto shop that was a staple in Middletwon was destroyed in a fire Saturday morning. 

The blaze began around 7 a.m. at Neiger's Service Center on Wisner Avenue. 

Firefighter were able to extinguish the flames within a half-hour, but the damage was already done. 

Crews remained on the scene to put out hot spots while investigators combed through the debris, searching for what may have sparked the blaze.
