Metro-North's Port Jervis line reopens following car-train collision

Metro-North's Port Jervis line has fully reopened following a car-train collision in the town of Wallkill this morning.

Metro-North officials that a train bound for Hoboken was involved when a car apparently slipped off an adjacent road and onto the tracks. The driver exited the vehicle before it was struck and was unharmed.

While there were 17 passengers aboard the train, no injuries were reported.

The Port Jervis line was suspended in both directions between Campbell Hall and Otisville for hours during the investigation.
