News 12's Anchor and News Director Janine Rose was honored by Mercy College at its 32nd annual Quill Awards Tuesday evening.

Rose received the "Professional Achievement Award" for her significant impact in Westchester County.

School officials say she is a great student mentor. "Janine is the perfect kind of model to give them. Her experience is so broad, and she's made such an impact in this area. She's exactly the sort of person to show our students. That this is what you can be. This is what that's capable of you," says Mercy College President Tim Hall.

The Quill Awards Ceremony honors media professionals and Mercy College students and alumni who have achieved great success in the field of media studies.
