Medical expert shares advice to avoid COVID-19 infections during July 4 gatherings

Medical experts are warning against another possible wave of COVID-19 infections as many people will be hosting backyard barbecues or heading to the beach this Fourth of July weekend.
The COVID-19 delta variant is now spreading across the country, raising concerns for unvaccinated children. Medical experts say parents should take precautions.
"Really try to avoid large gatherings, if possible," says Dr. Rebekka Levis, of Maria Fareri Children's Hospital. She says small outdoor gatherings like a backyard barbecue are best.
For indoor gathering, Levis recommends that kids wear facemasks if they are around a large group of people or if they are around people they would not normally be around.
Medical experts also say it's best to stay home if you're feeling sick.
