New York City will throw a victory bash this week to celebrate the United States' Women's World Cup title.
The United States won its record fourth Women's World Cup title and second in a row, beating the Netherlands 2-0 Sunday when Megan Rapinoe converted a penalty kick in the second half and Rose Lavelle added a goal.
New York Mayor Bill de Blasio tweeted to say that a ticker tape will be held on Wednesday, July 10, down the Canyon of Heroes to celebrate the win.
The parade will step off at 9:30 a.m.
