Man wanted for stealing over $1K in Nike merchandise from Riverhead outlet

Riverhead police are asking for the public’s help to find a man who stole items from a Tanger Outlet store over the summer.
The individual was caught on surveillance taking approximately $1,094 worth of Nike footwear, police say.
The alleged theft happened around 12:30 p.m. on July 4 at the business located at 1770 West Main Street in Riverhead.
The person could be seen leaving the store without paying for the items while wearing a blue Nike short and sunglasses.
Anyone who believes they recognize the person involved in this incident is encouraged to contact Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
A cash reward is available for information that leads to an arrest, and all calls remain anonymous.
