Man survives jump from Tappan Zee Bridge

A Pleasantville man was rescued on Thursday after police say he jumped off the Tappan Zee Bridge.
Police are not identifying the man, but do say that a passing motorist saw the 53-year-old climb over the railing and jump off the southbound side of the bridge, near the Rockland-Westchester County line.
After he was rescued, the man was taken to Nyack Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
