A man was rushed to the hospital with serious head injuries after a late night car crash in Westchester's largest city.

Yonkers police say the one-car crash happened around 10:45 p.m. on Frederic Street. They say the driver swerved off the road to miss a motorcycle and then struck a set of stone stairs at a house. The vehicle then hit an SUV before eventually flipping over and landing on its roof.

Two of the passengers in the vehicle were able to get out safely and suffered only minor injuries.

Yonkers police say the driver is now recovering at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx.
