A non-commuter train fatally struck a man early Wednesday evening in Hartsdale.
The incident occurred just before 4:30 p.m. at the hamlet's Metro-North station.
Investigators say that the train was heading southbound when it struck the 48-year-old man. It was not carrying any passengers, and was not scheduled to make a stop there.
MTA police say surveillance cameras are located all over the station. In addition to that footage, they say there are several eye witnesses, including the engineer.
The incident caused one-hour delays in both directions for several hours. Service has since resumed as normal along Metro-North's Harlem line.
