A man is fighting for his life after police say he was hit by a van while walking across the street in Mott Haven. The incident occurred at the corner of Bruckner Boulevard and Alexander Avenue.

A man is fighting for his life after police say he was hit by a van while walking across the street in Mott Haven.
The incident occurred at the corner of Bruckner Boulevard and Alexander Avenue.
Neighbors tell News 12 that the man wasn't using the crosswalk when he was hit by the van around 8:30 a.m.
The male victim was transported to Lincoln Hospital and is said to be in critical condition.
Police say the the driver remained on scene.
