Police say a 50-year-old man was stabbed in the face and neck in Morrisania.

The attack happened just after 1:30 p.m. Monday near 3rd Avenue and East 167th Street.

EMS took the man to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where he is expected to recover, according to authorities.

Police are searching for a man responsible for the stabbing who ran from the scene and was last seen wearing black cargo pants and a multicolored sweater.
