A Blauvelt resident is hoping to have his town recognized as a part of rock 'n' roll history.
Bruce Springsteen's "Born To Run" was recorded 40 years ago at 914 Sound Studios, which is now the Blauvelt Auto Spa.
Springsteen fan Michael Magnone is hoping to have a historic marker installed in front of the building so that people know where the Boss recorded his first two albums, plus the song "Born To Run."
The grandson of the owner of the property, which houses not only the auto spa, but the Blauvelt Diner, told News 12 his family is open to the idea.
The marker still needs the approval of the Historical Society.
