A man accused of running a gay sex business under the guise of a massage parlor spoke to News 12 Westchester Monday after being released on bail.
"I think there might have been some other interests involved in pursing me," said Joseph Lavoie, 41. "But was it worth it?" Lavoie would not comment further about the case against him.
Peekskill police arrested Lavoie Friday after he allegedly agreed to have sex with an undercover officer for money at his South Street business. Lavoie advertised his massage parlor, Jing Therapy, on the Internet.
"It's more of the impact it was having on the community," said Peekskill Police Chief Eugene Tumolo. "It tends to cause a denigration of the overall ? neighborhood."
Lavoie is due back in court April 21. He faces a misdemeanor prostitution charge.
