A man could spend decades in prison after being convicted of setting fire to a Newburgh hotel with people inside.

An Orange County jury found Jason Conn guilty of multiple charges, including arson.

Prosecutors say he started a fire at the Ramada Inn last summer.

Authorities say Conn also tried to interfere with first responders as they rushed to the scene.

He now faces up to 25 years in prison.

Conn is scheduled to be sentenced next month.
