Man charged with attempted murder after rampage in Poughkeepsie

Edward Lee Plummer is charged with two counts of attempted murder, assault, arson, and two counts of menacing.

A man is in custody this morning after a string of crimes in Poughkeepsie. Investigators say it started on Radcliffe Road yesterday morning where a man was stabbed in the face by his father, identified as Edward Lee Plummer.
City of Poughkeepsie firefighters say the 59-year old suspect then drove to Mill Street and Columbus Drive and set a house on fire.
He then led police on a chase, then ended up returning to the house and crashing into the home's garage.
Plummer is charged with two counts of attempted murder, assault, arson, and two counts of menacing.
