A man in Monroe was arrested three times in three days for trying to break into a house owned by a police officer, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
Prosecutors say Mario Ramirez-Valle was arrested twice on Thursday by Orange County sheriff’s officers, and then again on Sunday by New York State Police after the back-to-back incidents near Lakes Road.
Authorities say the suspect was “highly intoxicated” during the crimes.
Ramirez-Valle was charged with trespassing and attempted trespass, both which are not bail eligible, and issued a restraining order to stay away from the officer.
The district attorney’s office says they don’t know if the officer was being targeted.
News 12 reached out to state police about Ramirez-Valle’s arrest Sunday but they said they didn’t have any information, and the sheriff’s office did not immediately respond to our inquiries about the incidents on Thursday.
