A man suspected of injuring his 2-month-old nephew while baby-sitting has been arrested and is being charged with a felony.
Luis Cartagena, 32, has been charged with reckless assault and acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17 years old.
Police say Cartagena was baby-sitting the baby on Monday at the time of the incident. News 12 is told the child suffered a skull fracture along with other possible injuries.
Police say the baby was rushed to Lincoln Hospital after the incident. The baby is currently in critical condition at Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia.
News 12 has tried to reach out to the child's mother for comment, but she was unavailable.
