Some high school students will experience the race for the White House first hand this weekend.
About 115 seniors from an A.P. government class at Mamaroneck High School are heading to New Hampshire for Tuesday's primary.
The students will be volunteering with the campaigns of Marco Rubio, Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. They'll be knocking on doors, making telephone calls and pushing people to vote for their chosen candidate.
"We've learned so much about the New Hampshire primaries, the presidential nomination process, to actually go there and take part in it is a great experience," says (student)
Students will also be making a documentary about the New Hampshire primary.
Craig Goldberg, Chairman Social Studies Department, says it is a great way for students to see how democracy works.
