Loved ones of those who perished on Sept. 11 expressed their sorrow Friday on the 14th anniversary of the attacks.

Caitlyn Lyons, 15, lost her father Michael Lyons on Sept. 11. Michael Lyons, who grew up in Yonkers and later moved to Haverstraw, was a firefighter stationed in the Bronx. He was among the 343 firefighters who perished that day.

Lyons was selected to be a reader at the Ground Zero ceremony, saying it's something you just can't prepare for. Lyons relies on photos to remember her dad and says he is her hero.

Lyons also has a little sister who was born two months after her father died. The family also participated in the Rising Ceremony in Valhalla.
