Just days away from the 13th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, the family of one fallen New York firefighter has received some comfort.
Michael Otten died when the Twin Towers fell that day. His son had worn a metal bracelet with his father's name and the inscription "FNDY Ladder 35, 9-11-01," but lost it when he was 11 years old.
However, that memento has now been returned to the family after a woman found it two weeks ago on a beach at Long Island Park.
Otten's son says he's keeping the bracelet in a safe place. He and his brother are currently training to become FDNY firefighters themselves, just like their dad.
