Local power and utility companies say they are ready for potential severe weather today.
Orange and Rockland Utilities are mobilizing their emergency workforce in anticipation of tonight's expected strong winds and flooding. Their response team includes overhead line crews, tree removal experts, and customer service operators.
Central Hudson has reinforced its efforts by adding an additional 120 line workers from Kentucky and Ohio, ready to assist in restoring any possible outages.
