And another update for our storm watch across lower Hudson Valley. So this is what we got going on for us until we get into our Monday early afternoon. Around 1 p.m. We are looking for a flood watch to be impacting for us throughout the rest of tonight and again until Monday afternoon for all of the lower Hudson Valley. So a breakdown of what we are expecting from the rest of tonight and into our Monday morning, especially from our threats level. Well, we have the flood watch because we are expecting about 1 to 2 inches of rain to be likely for us once the event is all set and done. So street flooding is possible in even hyper localized areas as well. So just be mindful that it's going to be a bit of a mess when trying to travel going into our Monday morning. Then once we're done with the flooding, we are also looking at some windy conditions right behind it. So not necessarily done with the flooding, but the other threat from the storm system is going to be the fact that we could be seeing winds between 30 to 40 MPH. So isolated power outages could be possible because of downed power lines or even trees due to the over saturated ground and the strong wind and himself. So getting into the rest of our rain chances from overnight into our Monday morning, from overnight into Monday morning, we are looking for rain to continue for us. Now, will it be heavy at the time? Not all the time. We are looking for a bit more weaker rainfall overnight, moderate to light rain, especially by the time we get into our Monday morning early, but we do have periods of seeing some of that heavy rain stick around throughout that uh part as well. But take a look at our wind gusts. This is what we're gonna be expecting from overnight into our Monday morning. It's not gonna be overly strong but between 20 to near 25 MPH, especially as we get closer towards our Monday late morning hours. But in the afternoon, we are expecting for those winds to pick up just a bit more as the system starts to exit. And with it, we're looking at colder temperatures as well. So don't only just prepare for the wet weather but be prepared for Monday morning to be a cold one. Temperatures into the upper thirties and near the lower forties throughout across the lower Hudson Valley as we start off on Monday morning. And with this cold air roll its way in on the upper levels, we could see a couple of snow flakes or wintry mixes for the northern parts of the lower Hudson Valley. So how much rain we could be expecting? Well for the rest of the event overnight into our Monday morning, potentially another inch of rainfall. But as long as we're not seeing a whole lot of heavy rain in a short period of time, our flood risk will be on the lower end. Again, It will just be mainly hyper local, but it's still something to pay attention to and be mindful of going into our Monday. Now, taking a look at our winds again, early Monday morning, not as strong, but once we get into our afternoon, we are looking between 20 to 30 MPH, gusting winds until we get into our Monday nights, we're still gonna be a bit breezy, but it's not gonna be nearly as strong as we are gonna be expecting overnight for us. Now, here's a look at our Monday in itself again. We're looking at gusty and rain in the morning sun once we get into our afternoon, but it will be a cold one as temperatures will be near the middle forties. Heading into the rest of the week. We're gonna see those lower forties stick around for us but it will be dry.

He drives around. We also want to talk to Bob Livesey, the town supervisor of that area of Highland, one of the hardest hit communities here in the Hudson Valley. Mr Livesey, how would you describe the conditions where you are right now? This is something you've never seen in the years that you've been working for this area and I've been here for 55 years and I have never seen anything close to this. This is a true disaster for our town uh at every piece of in infrastructure in the town outside the village and including the village, but I can only talk for outside the village uh is destroyed, our roads are destroyed uh uh Mine Dock Road, which uh we had the fatality happen on mine, knock the mine dock road, that road is destroyed. So uh we're gonna need a lot of help uh to get things put back together again. Uh If you're just joining us, what Mr Livesey was referring to was a woman believed to be in her thirties, died after struggling in the flooding waters. This was a local woman, am I correct? And this all happened near mind Dock road. Is that correct? That's correct. Yes. What do we know about her? And what warning do you have to people who are living in that area? Well, the, the, the warning was yesterday, um, mostly, um, just to stay home. That was the warning to stay home. Uh, that could be the warning for today. But the, the danger has receded. Um, now it's trying to get through the Debor and the, the, the broken roads and um being careful of electric and uh electric power in their flooded basements. Um Yeah, that's, that's it. And, and uh I think the people need to know that all of the facilities that we have to bring this back uh are out there. They're out there working the highway department, the ambulance corps is out there, the fire department, everyone is out there. And that is so incredibly important because you're also describing where you are as similar to an island. It is really hard to get into or out of your community. Exactly. Yes. All, all of the roads in and out are basically not passable or very much uh closed. Uh You got a picture on your screen now, that's, that's what's closing all our roads up. Uh Polo Bridge which has been four years of uh getting repaired due to open up sometime this month is closed. Uh Because of the damage done to the Polo Bridge. Let's also talk about the fact that there is even more worries. What makes this even worse is that there's no water in the town of Fort Montgomery because we understand that a water main has now been shut off. Can you give us an update on this? You're telling me about 3000 people are affected by this. Yes. The, uh, the, the, there's one water main coming from the village. We, we get our water from the village. There's one more water main coming in from the village. They had to shut that down because of a break in the water main. So we have people on, uh, on the scene, uh doing repairs, uh, but it will be a while. It will be at least all morning long and part of this afternoon, a lot of information today, Jes Bob Livesey Town Supervisor of Highland. We do appreciate your time.
