The Hudson Valley has recently been the setting of a long list of movies and TV shows, including one filmed Tuesday.
Crews set up shop on School Street in Yonkers as they filmed "The Saints of Newark," the prequel to HBO’s "The Sopranos." It's one of many productions that has brought the lights, cameras and action to the Hudson Valley.

"SVU" star Mariska Hargitay, joined by the "Law and Order" family, have filmed in front of the Westchester County Courthouse. Jonah Hill and Leonardo DiCaprio were spotted in Ardsley shooting "Wolf of Wall Street.”
The Hudson Valley has also appeared in shows like “Boardwalk Empire,” “Gotham,” “Orange is the New Black,” “Mr. Robot” and “Wolverine.”

Natasha Caputo, the director of Westchester County Tourism and Film, says Westchester has such a draw because of its scenery and its close proximity to the city.
She says along with the excitement, the productions have caused a ripple effect for the local economy.

"For Westchester County, it's about $30 million of economic impact to the various municipalities and county properties, and there is a ripple effect - the productions come in, they use our local vendors or local talent," says Caputo.

Although it's rare, Caputo says to keep an eye out for inquiries for extras.
